It’s officially spring! If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably put away your bulky winter clothes and pulled out your lighter spring ones, or you’re somewhere in the process of doing it. Don’t forget about your sweet pup when it comes to those spring wardrobe updates! Here are a few easy things you can do to refresh your dog’s wardrobe for the new season.

Don’t forget about your sweet pup when it comes to those spring wardrobe updates! Here are a few easy things you can do to refresh your dog’s wardrobe for the new season.
1. Decide what to keep and what to toss.
Take a little time to go through your pet’s current wardrobe and decide which pieces you want to keep and which pieces you want to get rid of. If there’s an item that seems to be uncomfortable for your dog to wear or if you simply don’t like the way it looks on your pet anymore, don’t be afraid to cull it from the collection. Once you determine which pieces you’ll be getting rid of, consider donating the gently used ones to a local animal shelter. Just make sure you call ahead and ask if they’re accepting donations!
2. Choose new pieces that coordinate with the pieces your dog already has.
If you want to get the most bang for your buck and make sure your dog’s style is cohesive, it’s a good idea to pick out new wardrobe pieces that will pair well with pieces your dog already wears often. You can use the basic color wheel to help you decide which color schemes will pair well. For example, if your dog’s favorite leash is orange, you might want to consider adding a piece like our aqua plaid reversible bandana to their wardrobe.
3. Pick out seasonal items.
Another easy way to refresh your dog’s wardrobe is by adding in a couple of seasonal items. Once you’ve built up a collection, you can rotate these pieces in and out of your pet’s wardrobe throughout the year.
